The Real Cowboys of the "Cowboy State"

McKee, Bill

McKee

Bill McKee was born and raised on a ranch. He lived close to Elk Mountain Wyoming as a young boy, where he was a part of the family ranch.

He and his wife Barbara McKee moved to Savery Wyoming in the early 60’s where they ran cattle for the family ranch. He moved to his own ranch in the late 60’s, where he raised 5 children and 1 grandchild.

He was a rodeo contractor for a couple of years in the 60’s in addition to running the ranch.

He is one of the hardest working men in this world. He is happiest in the saddle watching his cattle and working the land in Wyoming. To this day he has approximately 450 head of cows. He primarily runs these cattle on his own. He says if he isn’t ranching he wouldn’t know what to do as that is all he has ever done.
